 This is my origin myth for my American Lit class

Origin Myth: The story of Renesmee and Solauri

Some 30,00 years after the earth was so forbearingly created, a tribe called the  Otwianeese and another tribe called the Foomoian emerged.The Otwianeese people were of great resilience and forgiveness.They had hair like silk, skin as smooth as gold, and eyes so enthralling that they twinkled in the sun light.They were neighbors with the Foomoian tribe.The Foomoian tribe were people of great and powerful descendants.

They were very wise and resourceful people.The Tribes used to be very close, as they went to each other for everything.However one day , there was a transaction gone wrong due to miscommunication. This transaction gone wrong  resulted in the disappearance of the Foomoian tribe for about 5 years until one day they re-emerged.When they re-emerged there had been no type of closure on the incident that had previously taken place.

When the incident had taken place, there was a man who was 23 ; named Solauri.There was also a girl who was 22 named, Renesmee.Each tribe had their own major form of a defense mechanism.For the Otwianeese tribe, their chief ruler Offtwia would pound his drill into the ground.He would pound it once softly and two times aggressively.

This would send  earthquakes to wherever he thought of.The Foomioan tribe  on the other hand, their chief ruler Brokleyu would blow his breath and it would send a tornado so wherever he was thinking of.This also means that the Foomoian tribe could control the winds and the Otwianeese tribe could control the earth.One day during the 5 years, a gracious animal called an Elephant emerged.These animals would be used for transportation and to transport goods.

So when the Foomoian tribe re-emerged, and the Otwianeese were notified, they automatically assumed there would be an attack.Having feeling this way, they suited up and called in reinforcements.Something had told Renesmee that they didn’t come for trouble.Something had also told Solauri that they’d sensed trouble.Due to both Solauri and Renesmee having these feelings, something then led them on a path.

This had never happened to either of them before.The path led them to the scene of the incident that took place.They were both confused , on why something would lead them there of all places.They then noticed one another.At first Renesmee was frightened but then she was overcome with bravery.Solauri had been on defense ,assuming she had come to seize and attack him.

They locked eyes with one another and realized that this had been not set up, ambush, attack not coincidence.They were meant to meet at this time.They introduced themselves to one another, having feeling all of a sudden comfortable.Renesmee then began to question Solauri in which he answered all of her questions.Solauri had explained to Renesmee that his people hadn’t come in bad spirits, they only wanted to reunite and come together in unity.

Mind you the Otwianeese people were taught not to forgive.Pain never leaves so neither should that anger.As their conversation progressed, Renesmee began to realize that the Foomoian people could not have been what they were so horribly described as.She felt as though they were peaceful people.Solauri had described how his people felt lost and confused on the situation.He said they they thought it’d be better to just go M.I.A. for a while which is why they disappeared.

He’s described how he was only 23 at the time and he remembered seeing a girl , as he described her it jogged Renesmee’s memory.She remembered seeing a boy as well and realized he was describing her.They then both realized that this was not accident, it couldn't have been.They were meant to meet.Renesmee began to warn Solauri that her people  were armoring up.He asked if she’d come with him to warn his people.

She knew this would be a big risk , as if her people found out, she would be seen as a traitor and a supporter of the enemy.The punishment for that is banishment and dishonor to one’s family.She did not want to take the risk however to prevent another altercation, she knew it would be necessary and that it would pay off in the end, so she did it.When they arrived the the discreet location of where the Foomoian tribe had been, she was saddened to see how poor they had seemed, she thought of how established her tribe had been.That alone drove away all the doubt she had and reassured her that she was doing the right thing.

When the chief ruler of the Foomoian tribe Brokleyu had seen Solauri with her, he’d thought she’d taken him captive but Solauri explained that was not the case.Solauri had explained how Renesmee came in peace and had come to warn the Foomian people.They developed a plan to walk as a force to the gate of peace.This had been a place where tribes would go for centuries to either surrender to come to peace with another.When they got there, the Otwianeese had already been there.

Just as the Foomoian tribe did, the Otwianeese saw Renesmee with them and had assumed they had taken Renesmee captive.They began to raise their weapons in which Renesmee, screamed for them to lower their weapons.They were befuddled.She had explained that something had brought her and Solauri together .They both had explained how she’d went to the Foomoian tribe’s place of residence.

She explained how it looked and that they were just as confused on the mishap as her people were.They didn’t understand at first; they thought they’d brainwashed and poisoned her.Renesmee could tell so she’d asked for the tribe’s Rooflri to step forward.The tribe’s Rooflri had the ability to see one’s true intentions, feel their emotions, and read their mind.When she had felt the true and genuine concern, and confusion, she looked at the chief ruler Offtwia and he could see exactly what Renesmee had been saying was true.

However he didn’t want to look wrong and ignorant, as if he’d been lying to his people and tried to kill the Foomoian tribe’s leader , he just couldn’t forgive what he didn’t even know to be true.Well legend has it, that when one is in a place to forgive and positively move on and they choose to dwell in the past the god of forgiveness, Yomi appears but is not visible.The only way people will know that she is either present or had just been present is because if her ritual that one shall die in agony and in front of those who were affected by their troubling and wrong ways.So before he could let go of the arrow he turned to ashes and the wind swept him away.Though this was a sad occurrence for the Otwianeese tribe, they had learned a great lesson of truthfulness and forgiveness.The tribes ended up coming together and developing new ways of life.

One of those new ways was forgiveness being taught in schools.They were taught appreciation as well.They were taught the value of animals and not to abuse their gifts if they were blessed enough to have one.As for Renesmee and Solauri they fell in love and went on to have a family and get married.They were happy they could do something that would have been seen as a sin or a crime no too long ago.
